Audrey passed away peacefully on January 14, 2020 at the Views at St. Joseph’s in Comox. She is predeceased by her loving husband Herbert Armstrong and son David Armstrong PhD. Audrey is survived by her daughter Janet Giles (Charles Giles), daughter-in law Elizabeth Elton (David’s widow); grandchildren Mary Anne Giles (Jennifer Tourangeau), Heather Giles (great-grandson Parker Giles), Gregory Giles, sister Myrtle Purdy (Harold Purdy – deceased), nephew Blair (deceased) and niece Allison.
Audrey was a sweet and caring lady that enjoyed gardening very much. She will be dearly missed.
Flowers gratefully declined. Donations in her memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated. Private cremation arrangements.
Audrey married Herbert Leslie Armstrong, son of Thomas Armstrong and Elizabeth (Lizzie) McWhinney, on 4 Sep 1943 in Quebec City - Cathedral Of The Holy Trinity.1 (Herbert Leslie Armstrong was born on 15 Oct 1918 in Vancouver, BC,2 died on 30 Sep 1998 in Comox B.C. and was buried in Courtenay B.C. Civic Cemetery.)
