Newspaper Obituary reads: "Final Tribute Paid Mrs. H.W. Sharpe." A funeral service for Mrs. H.W. Sharpe, wife of H.W. Sharpe, former superintendent of motor power and car equipment of the Canadian National Railways, was held in St. Barnabus Chapel, Quebec, on Tuesday. Mrs. Sharpe died on Saturday at Jeffrey Hale's Hospital. Burial took place in the family plot at Campbellton, N.B. Well known for her acts of charity, Mrs. Sharpe was for over 20 years a member of the Chalmers-Wesley United Church choir in Quebec. She and her husband celebrated their golden wedding anniversary four years ago. Besides her husband, she leaves one son, Group Capt. James Sharpe, O.B.E., Assistant Deputy Minister of Air, Ottawa; nine daughters, Mrs. Gertrude Bentley, of Montreal; Mrs. Ettie Mullen, of Quebec; Mrs. Maud Gilker, of Moncton; Mrs. Hazel Parks, of Three Rivers; Mrs. Mabel Theobald, of Belleville; Mrs. Myrtle Devine, of Quebec; Mrs. Winona Morrison, of Asbestos; Mrs. Joy Levie, of Montreal, and Mrs. Pearl Lamont, of Ottawa; 24 grand-children and three great- grand-children.
