Milton Warren Buie

  General Notes:

Milt looked after the Providence Bay lighthouse for many years. He clerked in J.F. McDermid's store in Providence Bay and later the Co-operative in Gore Bay, finally buying a general store in Spring Bay which he and Kate ran until they retired about 1964. They then moved to Little Current and lived in an apartment in their daughter's house.

Milton married Catherine Bowser, daughter of John Bowser and Ann McLeod, on 8 Jun 1927. (Catherine Bowser was born on 9 Jan 1903 in Billings Township, Manitoulin Island, died on 20 Oct 1975 in Little Current, Manitoulin Island, Ontario and was buried on 23 Oct 1975 in Grimsthorpe Cemetery, Manitoulin Island, Ontario.)
