It is reported on Alexander's "Death Certificate" that his father's name was Daniel, and that he was a "Soldier" (could have been his middle name or could also have been his mother's second husband has his father died when he was only 5 or 6 years old). We also do not know who recorded this.

Alexander married Ruth Jennings.
